Use the IPTC Core Description field in Adobe Bridge to add/embed a caption that provides information about the image to end users.
Choice of Data Standard
IPTC Core Description (sometimes called caption) is supported in most file browsers and photo applications. You can combine many fields, such as Creator, Title, Date, Cultural Context, Materials, Measurements, Location and more to create a concise description like you might find beside an artwork in a museum.
Choice of Tool
Most photo editing and organizing applications will work, but if yours doesn't, try Adobe Bridge. See Description field in Basic_metadata_Bridge
