View and/or export auto-generated technical metadata.

Choice of Data Standard

Exif is the industry standard for digital image technical metadata.  XMP metadata (used in Abode CC and most other photo apps) contains many technical fields and specific file types, such as TIFF, contain very detailed technical information.  

Choice of Tool

Almost all cameras, scanners, and editing software automatically add technical metadata, reading it can be more difficult.  Basic information, like date created/modified, size, etc. can be viewed in file browsers and basic apps. The VRA Export-Import Tool can export some additional technical metadata, but for a full export, you would need to use Exiftool.
