Desired Goal or Outcome

Use the IPTC Core and Extension fields in Adobe Bridge to add/embed metadata that provides rights information about the image to end users.

Choice of Data Standard

IPTC Core and IPTC Extension contain a very full set of fields for rights and license information. PLUS contains even more fields, but they are not commonly found in the default metadata panels in Adobe Bridge or other software. A custom Adobe Bridge metadata panel could be created for this purpose.

Choice of Tool

Adobe Bridge has the best metadata editing tools, but other Creative Cloud applications support the same data standards. Other mid to pro level photo editing and organizing applications usually support IPTC, as well.
